I decided that if I couldn't give myself 30 minutes 4 days a week something was seriously wrong with my life.  I started walking Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings at 5:15 AM.  At first I did about 1.5 miles and now I do 4 in 36 minutes by working up to running. Afternoons or evenings are my kids activities times...I had to focus on me first thing every morning.

Now I've added a Barre class 5 days a week for toning and still run 3 days a week.  Keeps me honest and on track!

When you had a revision, they revised your physical insides.  The habits and internal choices are yours.

For me, and my two periods of weight regain, I had to get to the source of why I was making the wrong choices.  What was causing me to do that?  Exercise is far from my passion but I know it makes me feel so much better physically and mentally.  When I exercise, I am less likely to make the wrong food choices.  In this way, food and exercise go hand in hand.

What is your obstacle for exercising?  Is it just doing it and then when you do it you're okay with it?

Find something you like to do.  Is it a team sport, walking, running, swimming, or just dancing in your family room?  If you find something you like to do, it won't feel like exercise.

Look at your revision and make the most out of it.  Be that success story.  Write the success story now and then do what it takes to be it.

Cathy, what kind of exercise do you do? I have never found anything that I like. I hate walking...its so boring, and it scares me to walk around alone. dancing no. swimming is fun but, not an option in January in NY, lol.  Team sports I havent considered. but I dont really even know where I'd find one and who would want me on their team anyway?? I still have a lot of weight to lose.   I went sledding with my son yesterday...THAT was a lot of exercise and a lot of FUN! but one day isn't going to cut it! lol     Another part of exercise that I absolutely HATE...is the 3 days after that you can barely walk with all sore muscles.  I know I need to find some kind of exercise to do. I am on the hunt. Thank you for your post.

That's why I shared it with you because I printed it out and have it hung up (in two places, I need lots of motivation LOL).

I'm glad you found it helpful.

From reading your blog, I know you know that the issue isn't exercise.  You can't outrun a bad diet and things like doritoes definitely fall into the bad diet category.  Are you seeing a therapist to help out with the motivation/willpower side of things?  This should be the period when you're most dedicated to your new way of eating and it's really concerning that you're making such poor choices so early out.
