Success with stopping antidepressants after surgery???

Prior to surgery, I was on Lamictal, Lexapro, Geodon, and Buspar. About nine months after surgery, I tapered off the Geodon and Buspar (with psychiatrist's help) since I wanted to get pregnant and reduce my med load. It was a bit rough at first, but I did just fine in the end!

There's nothing wrong with you if you can't stop all of your meds. Obesity can contribute to mental illness, but it's not the sole cause, and losing weight isn't a sure fix. Best bet is to track your moods and take it slowly with your doctor's help.
