RNY/BAND OPERATION ISSUES- PLEASE HELP! AGONIZING OVER THIS :(

Hi everyone,

In 2001, I had Gastric Bypass and lost 140 pounds. Then about two years ago, I did a revision to band over bypass because I put 90 pounds back on- so only 50 was still off. Obviously, I felt like a complete failure BUT I was so hopeful the band would be wonderful. I'm constantly throwing up no matter how I follow the rules to a T. It's hard to even be social because I'm afraid I'll vomit again.

Well on Thursday, I'm going to my surgeon and I want to tell him/scared to remove my band because the vomiting hurts, its constant and the band didn't really me help lose weight. HOWEVER, I know if nothing is there I'll be in big trouble with my weight and will probably gain back what I went in for in 2001.

MY QUESTION is: did anyone have this issue? and when their surgeon removed the band he could maybe make your RNY pouch smaller again with stitches because obviously I stretched it out, and the band is gone.

With help and love,

J
