Thanks everyone for your thoughts.  I've decided not to go.  Everyone made some really good points.  As much as I would be on top of getting my water in, my pouch may not be able to.  Especially with not being able to drink for an hour after a meal.  That hour would be brutal.  Never thought about that in the heat.  I'll enjoy my day in my house with the a/c on haha.  

Thanks everyone for your input!!! It definitely helped me make my decision.

I'll do the fatherly nag thing...Dehydration is the # 1 cause of reentry to the hospital post op!!  Think about it...It is hard to get all your liquids in at this time...Much less your protein.  Your pouch will tend to stretch between 6-12 months (for many people)...But, for right now, it is not a good idea.  Walk a little, sleep, heal, sip...There will be a lifetime to take on the world.  Brian
