Wow!! You are a busy bee, Cynthia!! And I must say you look so much younger now than in the picture on the website. My bf is in charge of wellness programs for his company. He makes sure people get the help they need.

Cynthia, the work you do is so important.  Appropriate inpatient and outpatient mental health and addiction medicine is in such short supply across the country.  We struggle here with a lack of available clinicians, therapists and hospital beds.  It really is a national crisis.  Glad you are part of the solution.

Happy Sunday Everyone!

QOTD:  I don't work at a "job" any more.  I used to be the manager of a picture framing shop for 17 years and before that I had my own sign making business.  I am an artist, but haven't done much artwork lately.  I do sell figurines on eBay for myself and a couple friends.  I also help manage a downtown building my brother and I own that has 3 businesses in it.  That and my eBay work are all done from home.

Yesterday I ate:  a Clif protein bar, 2 string cheese sticks, Mr. Cheese O's, 3 oz. rib-eye steak (which came back up later), 2 slices cheese, a Clif protein bar.

Have a great day everyone!

OOOPS, sorry, I didn't mean to post twice.  The site kept saying "error" so I kept trying to post my entry and evidently posted it twice.

Good morning everyone!  I can't believe how writing in here every day makes me accountable.  It's great.  QOTD : I'm a vice-principal and have been for 6 years.  I try to leave work at work, but it's sometimes difficult.  It's a very busy, stressful job and I think that I often fall back on bad habits because I was too busy to plan, exercise, etc.  I recognize now, and probably did then, that those are excuses I used.  I'm off now until mid August so I'll recharge and focus on myself :-)  Weigh-in day tomorrow!

B- 4 oz canadian bacon with shredded cheese

S- premier protein drink

L - 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1/2 cantaloupe

S- turkey bite and cheese string

D- steak and grilled vegetables

What age level is your school? I'm a school admin too, but a little different... I work for a non profit that turns failing schools in urban districts into "re-start" charter schools. I have 6 schools, four of them are 6th-8th, one is a pre-K- 5th, and one is pre-K-8th. I supervise the 6 principals on all of the Operational aspects of their work (like budgets, testing, safety, technology, facilities, etc).

Since we are a charter, our staff work a lot of extra hours. The admin only got 1 week off this summer (I didn't get any!) and all the teachers are back on 8/1! This time of year is so stressful as we try to get everyone trained and ready. I hope you actually get to enjoy summer off and relaaax!!!
