I wonder if the premier protein powder has milk. I could just mix that with water if it's the milk I have an issue with. Never had this problem before until about a week ago :(

Premier Protein shakes have lactose. Try a 100% whey protein isolate protein. Syntrax has very good ones as well as the Inspire brands.

Do you think it would be ok to double up the amount of powder so it has as much protein or more than the premier does? I really like that those ones have so much

They both have in the low 20's for grams of protein per scoop. I have always made sure my shakes had around 30g once made. Not sure where you are from, but I use 1 cup of fairlife milk which is higher protein (13g) and lower carb and is lactose free... Some parts of the country have a milk called carbmaster that is like that- I see people mentioning it, but don't know if it is lactose free. Even a regular lactose free milk would get you to 30g.

But yes you could add more than one scoop but wouldn't need a full 2 scoops.

I love the fuzzy navel from Syntrax. It is the only one I have ever tasted that tastes good in water, I extra dilute it and add some sweetener and it tastes like orangeade... I also make an 'Orange Julius" shake with it with 1 cup plain kefir (I buy mine at Trader Joe's and that has I think 9g protein) water, ice, and vanilla extract. yummm

Syntrax has different lines of powders, so make sure you are buying flavors that are the 100% whey protein ones. I know my chocolate is called chocolate truffle.

Buy Syntrax off Amazon or Netrition.com and the Inspire you can only get from Bariatriceating.com

I have enjoyed the pumpkin pie and the strawberry white chocolate from Inspire and others. The only one I didn't like of theirs was the Summer melon or something like that.

My Docs 'rules' for protein drinks were they shouldn't be more than 200 calories-ish, 5-6g sugar, and at least 20-30g protein.

btw - Syntrax Nectar is their whey protein isolate line (those are the ones you want) .    They also have Syntrax Matrix, which is a protein blend.  So go with the Nectar.

I mix Crystal Light lemonade with some of the fruit-flavored ones to boost the flavor.  Although like NYMom said, they can be mixed with plain water as well.

Love Fuzzy Navel by Syntrax.  My favorite of them all...
