Extreme Fatigue at 6 Months Post-op?

One more thing to consider. I also had exhaustion at about 6 months. My ferritin was dropping very quickly. My surg team just suggested an extra iron pill a day but my hematologist was on board for iron infusions. Within 2 weeks of the infusions, I felt sooooo much better.

Sounds like there could be several possibilities, but thought I'd share my experience.

Actually, that was the reason I opened this post -- I thought it was HER that was experiencing the fatigue and was going to suggest the same thing. I also suffer non-anemic iron deficiency and have had to have infusions.

It's really rare for men to suffer this though -- although certainly not impossible.

iron infusions are wonderful! iron pills just don't cut it and cause more harm than good in my case :/

I am four years out (maintaining my weight) and have never felt this fatigued in my life. It is to the point where I often question how I am going to survive.

It looks like some of the others have suggested iron issues? Have you had that checked out?
