I actually changed the way I ate in May after first visit with my Surgeon. I had been out to eat a few times from May until mid August. I noticed when I ate less and healthy It was hard to eat the amount of food that I ate when I was eating unhealthy. one time we went to a new sub place and I ate the whole sub, but felt sick the rest of the day. When my family makes a pizza it smells good and I want a bite. I think I could have eaten almost a whole pizza before this change. Those are bad habits that got me here. Now interested in trying a cauliflower crust pizza, when I am able to eat solids.

You so clearly describe emotional eating. Good for you for reflecting upon this really challenging behavior to change. I am pre-surgery and really working to break the stress/sad/angry/happy etc., eating. I draw comfort from your post. Take care as you heal. From what everyone on here says your best is yet to come!
