Morning everyone!

I am super excited for this weekend. My parents are finally back from Az and invited all of us "kids" over for a cookout on Sunday. DH was glad it will be Sunday since he works that day and although he wants to see everyone, he doesnt want to be near the BBQ food while on his pre-op liquid diet!--i can't blame him one bit.

QOTD: I'd been using Aveeno for a long time til recently...it seems like it's just not tackling my dry skin very well...I never had super dry skin before surgery but now it's AWFUL. I've tried some serious moisturizers in the last couple months but the one I seem to like best is the Vaseline intensive care -- I think it has vitamin E in it too? others have worked OK but this one smells the best and works well. I love the fancy smelling ones from Bath & body but they almost seem to dry my skin out more after they soak in.

Morning: coffee w/half caramel PP as usual
B: 3 turkey bfast sausage links
L: cottage cheese with 3 strawberries
S: greek l&f yogurt strawberry cheesecake flavor
D: not sure yet. probably ham lunch meat and cheese?

Photo: I got my new glasses in the mail a couple weeks ago- they are SO CUTE, i love them and they were under $80 for the whole pair- the frames, polycarbonate lenses AND anti-glare coating from discountglasses.com. I am super happy with them! If i got glasses at my eye doctor they would've cost me over $300 even WITH my vision insurance.

not sure why it's coming up sideways but you get the idea!

Good afternoon,

I went to the casino with my friend last night but didn't win. I only spent 10.00 and won 5.00 free slot play for my birthday. I didn't eat there, ate at home but did have one alcoholic drink that was free.

Tonight I'm going to a church support group. Tomorrow I'm going to my brothers and he's taking me to a concert, For King and Country. Sunday is my birthday, attending church and having a potluck at church and spend time with my friend.

Qotd I use bath and body works, current scent French lavender and honey.

B ham and cheese omelette, string cheese and mini bagel with cream cheese

rest of the day I don't know what I'm eating

Have a good day

Morning all! Happy Friday! Friday is my favorite day of the week.

Last night I had turkey breast for dinner. I was in pain for hours afterwards - I didn't think I ate that fast but I must have. It was just roast turkey breast, nothing else, but wow, that was painful. Three or so hours into it I did get the foamies, but as much as I hoped to throw up, I didn't. Eventually - five hours or so after eating - it subsided. In a way this is good as it shows me that I still have to be very conscientious! But it did hurt!

I'm going to look at the tulip fields growing here today. They are supposed to be incredible, and this is the last day or two of the peak week. I love tulips and look forward to seeing them!

The scale is moving down, gradually, but I haven't lost a whole lot this month. Still haven't crossed the southern border into Onederland, but I keep on keeping on! I bought some skirts online in a size medium - I figured that would give me the most bang for my buck in terms of how long I could wear it as I continue to lose. Surprisingly I can get into both of them, though they will be more attractive on me when they fit more loosely, which will take a while. And I bought a beautiful patterned wrap blouse in a medium as well; it came and I love it. I fit into it but it will look better on me in 15 pounds or so. I like it so much that I went back and bought it in another colorway in a size small. Later this year I look forward to wearing it! I really don't need clothing but these things were just so pretty I couldn't resist.

QOTD: I work with essential oils, absolutes, ottos, etc., formulating fragrances and various products. While I don't make lotions, I do make fragranced botanical oils, and I have a very sensitive nose. Some artificial fragrance chemicals are wonderfully scented, but many are unpleasant to me. I do not work with them, but have collected a fair sampling of perfumer's aroma chemicals just because I feel I need to understand the whole gamut of perfumery options. But I'm an herbalist at heart, so it's essentials for me. I sometimes add essential oils to pure jojoba oil and use that as a moisturizer on my body - jojoba is a wonderful oil (actually it's a liquid plant wax, not an oil per se) which sinks into the skin easily and makes it soft and velvety. I have used Lubriderm, a drugstore moisturizer which is top notch when applied after the shower onto slightly damp skin. It is very, very effective when used this way. It's not in any way luxurious, and I don't much like it's faint almond scent, but it is powerfully effective. I loved so many of the Caswell-Massey glycerine soaps, cream soaps, and moisturizers, but C-M sold to a Malaysian company a few years ago and has done away with absolutely everything I once loved. I miss the eglantine rose heart-shaped glycerine soap especially, and I just today finished the very last of my store of English Honey and Peach Blossom shower gel, boo hoo! It's nowhere to be found. C-M soaps which sold for $3.50 each are going for 10 times that on eBay! I am going to shell out for some Perlier Honey Bath Cream. It is luxuriously fabulous, it's fragrance is of the sweetest and best honey, a scent I absolutely love, and it leaves my skin soft and buttery. Plus the bathroom smells so wonderful afterwards! They make moisturizers too. You used to be able to find Perlier at places like Marshalls and TJ Maxx, but no longer, sob! Because it's pricey. But gorgeous! For the face, I like Clientele Day and Night creams. I also like the Tatcha line but mostly their camellia oil cleanser and rice enzyme exfoliating powder. I tried La Mer (a sample) just to satisfy my curiosity, but I didn't feel it did anything remarkable for me, certainly not enough to justify it's extreme cost. I've used many of the Philosophy shower gels, lotions, and mousses, but I don't find them as effectively moisturizing as other products like Perlier. But they are fun and I've enjoyed them, too.

First: tea tea tea

B: I had some more turkey breast, the one that made me so ill last night. I ate very very slowly and chewed it to smithereens, and am fine. I must have bolted my food last night.

L: Greek yogurt with a little Cinnamon Buns protein powder

D: I'm going out to dinner and don't know what I'll have, but it will be protein forward.

Here is something very silly but I like it! It's just for fun:

Have a lovely day you guys!
