It's Fri-yayyyyy! What a fun and productive short week. I applied for some jobs, got to spend a lot of time with my favorite person (that's Grim, in case you didn't know), and decorated a ton of cookies. No complaints. Plus, Grim was kind enough to feed the kitties for me this morning, so I got to lay in bed for an extra hour and play word games, read the news, and watch TikTok videos--including watching a Marmot take a bath. Fact: it is statistically impossible to have a bad day after you get Connections on the first try with no mistakes, and watch a Marmot take a bath :)

Pics are: My "resolution" cookies. I thought they were cute and I was hoping these might get some love on social media but I think Emiepie and Grim might have been my only "likes." Sigh. I will never understand social media algorithms. But anyway, thank you two for showing my cookies some love!

QOTD: How are your resolutions going so far? You don't have to share what they are, but on a scale of 1 - 10-how ya doing? I'm going to give myself a 5. I am easing in to the new year - new me ;)

Accountability: A handful of almonds. And a few fries while were out (but they were skinny, so how bad could they be?) Then... I found the crackers after dark again. I need to ask Grim to put them up high so I can't reach them without his help.

Good morning and yay for Friday! Short weeks can be so long, but once I get home from my trainer this evening, I get to stay home until Monday. It's been so long since I had a full weekend at home! I just have workouts and sound the house stuff planned, it will be glorious.

qotd - most of my goals are long term on that they are annual things but so far I'm 100% on track for accomplishing them. Which sounds more impressive than it is given it's 4 am on day 5, lol.

my unplanned meal day yesterday was not great. I decided on Tostitos with shredded cheese for dinner which then led to RH, definitely didn't have enough cheese to offset the plate of chips, and then I had a yogurt and some mini archer spicy sausages and eventually a glass of fair life and went to bed early. So menu today will be planned!

coffee plus half and half x3

yogurt

turkey and cheese on slider

RGF jalapeño poppers

Dream Sleep drink with fair life.

pics today are a cold sunset on Wednesday and my favorite definition this week.

I didn't know you could get RH from chips. I hate that feeling.
And, let's be book dragons together.

Any time I over do the carbs. A plate of chips was probably 100-125 carbs which is more than I eat most days much less in one sitting. Fortunately, I am a relatively slow forgetter so I'll remember not to do it again for awhile.

My RH reaction is only with sweets.
I could eat a whole bag of chips with no reaction, good thing I'm not a big chips/savory person.
while on vacay, I ordered a plate of nachos and cleaned it all out without touching a chips. Ate all the other stuff:meat, salsa, cheese, guacamole. After I finished my plate my fam was looking at me like I'm an alien. Not one chip was eaten.

Chips and most sweets don't bother me. But liquid sugar is death. I can eat a small scoop of ice cream ok. But much more than that and I'll be looking forward to death.

About every 1-1/2 to 2 years I do it anyway.

I try the icecream at least once a month. I pay dearly but it's OK.
