Good morning, everybody!

I Picked up a cold at the meeting last week. I've only had two colds since surgery (not counting the infection from my tooth implant), so I can't really complain. But I am.

I took a COVID test and it was negative, so I'm mostly just dealing with a sore throat.

Marilyn had her last day of tennis rained out, so they were awarded second place. All the teams have costumes and they are the Headbangers, with inflatable guitars and wigs. They look pretty funny.

The Mississippi Pot Roast came out great, thank you to Mike and Chrissy for the tips. I may have used a different type of roast than chuck, but it shredded right up. I cooked carrots, potatoes and turnip right in the slow cooker as well.

QOTD: I think that I agree with Grim. Sometimes I eat every time I walk past the refrigerator and sometimes I can be fine for hours.

Breakfast: Protein Bar

Lunch: Catered

Dinner: Pot Roast

Have a great day, all!

Just curious, being primarily a tennis player (I think), what does Marilyn think of pickleball? Does she play both?

She plays some pickleball and is actually going to play with Roger when we are in San Diego. She likes it but not as much as tennis.

Did you watch any of the Grammy's? I thought it was great!!! Luke Combs and Tracy Chapman blew it out of the park. That was my favorite performance of the night, but Miley had it going on minus the hairdo. Oh, the gold metal dress and the body that rocks. If I knew then what I know now.

I read somewhere that her dress and hair were an homage to Tina Turner. The dress I see but not so much the hair, it definitely had a 60s-70s vibe though.
