Good morning, everybody!

I believe that the phrase the kids use is "Bare Minimum Mondays." That's what I'm in for: a certain degree of hygiene and grooming, a few train rides, my badge swipe and an 11:30 meeting. Maybe even a few hours of gentle floundering in my office. But after that, I'm right back on my couch.

The college kid sitting next to us on the plane Saturday was a football fanatic who had purchased her own $7,000 ticket to the Super Bowl. She was flying out to meet a friend and they had a whole weekend of football activities planned. Summer job? Grandparents? teaser rate credit card offer? She actually made me feel better about my boys spending levels. For a moment.

The Sphere was absolutely amazing. I will definitely go back. Marilyn already said no indoor Dead shows for her because of the smoke. Nobu was great, but I couldn't finish all of my food and basically pushed my entrees around my plate for two courses. Giada was a very pleasant surprise. I will have pictures and food *****n Friday.

We didn't have the time to go to the casinos, but on my way to brunch Sunday morning, I parlayed the Chiefs and the under, so I have to figure out the best way to get my winnings. I believe that I have a year to do so.

We got home in time to watch the end of overtime and that new show, Tracker. We will give the new show a couple of weeks and see if we like it.

QOTD: Chrissy has been making an extensive effort to get me to smile during photographs, so that's some progress towards expressing myself.

Breakfast: Protein bar

Lunch: Catered

Dinner: Stuffed peppers.

Then couch, sweet couch.

Have a great day, all!

7,000 bucks for a football game, while in college? My first 4 cars didn't cost that much, combined. My first three years of college cost less. Yikes.

I wouldn't pay $7000 to see some football game even now, when I can actually afford it! What a huge waste of a ton of money. Unbelievable.

G'morning all!

Hope everybody had a restful weekend! Mine was a combo of friends and work. Saturday I went out with a couple of friends. The sun was shining and the temps were in high 50s. We discovered a new to us Indian restaurant. The food was top notch. I had a small stuck episode because I wanted to try the rice (just a couple of spoons) but the rest was yum.

Sunday DH went for a quick surf session and I did my neighborhood uphill wog. Then we set up the laptops on the kitchen table facing the TV and worked while keeping an eye on the commercials, half time show and the game. I guess even if you don't understand the game you end up rooting for a team. My team didn't win, although I understand they played well. The KIA commercial made me teary eyed, the one with little girl skating.

QOD: I keep my mouth shut but my face speaks loudly. Zero poker face.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Left over Indian food
  • Jello, L&F yogurt
  • Protein froyo
  • E: 5 miles wog

Happy start of the week!

My guess is, you have a better rugby face than a poker face.

Good morning, are we all ready to tackle the week? Sounds like a nice nap is in order for sure. I had a good weekend, some couch time, time with Em and even watched a little of the game yesterday.

QOTD: It's okay most of time but it has slipped a bit since I am not in such a corporate environment and also now that Em is older I am definitely not as cautious.
