Surgery in Mexico--where do you get after care?????

 Ok, I have my sleeve done next Wednesday in Mexico. I am soooooo excited. I am wondering, however, where am I supposed to go for my follow up and after care????? I know I can always go see him in Mexico but that is not very realistic. Although I do live in Arizona so a couple times a year my be doable. 
Can any tell me about their experiences there and afterward?????

 

Dr. Rod also did my surgery and he was very good. Unfortunatly you are on your own with the after care.  I've bee told to just go to your family doctor and tell him what is going on.  Have him check your blood work to see if you are getting the right vitamines in.  Try to find a wl clinc that offers free support groups. Many of them do.  Good luck!  I was just at Star Medica on March 31st!

I went to my Primary Care physician about 2 weeks post op and he is gong to schedule my 3 month upper GI and run the labs Dr. Aceves suggested.

 I goto to my local primary doctor. 

  Thanks guys!! Thats prettly much what I thought. I saw my PCP yesterday and she is aware of my pending surgery and cheering me on.   So I guess she is on top of it. 

Teetee126- Did you have yours done in Tijuana or Juarez? I'm going to Tijuana to the INT hospital.  Any other words of wisdom? How was the the flight after surgery???
