hey Lady! I can totally relate to you, as always. I too, get down at times because even though I have lost alot of weight..I am still a big girl and people just see that instead of what I used to be like..how soon they forget!!LOL I can't walk around with a sign on my back that says.."hey, I just lost 125lbs people!!!" but I do feel like I want to! I see others that have lost less weight and are in the teens in their sizes and have cute little bodies now, and I think..wow, I kinda look the same as I did before.
All of this is what we call "stinking thinking". it can be horrible for our weight loss because when I get down, I want to eat. I want to say.."to hell with it"...so I must stay positive..one way to do that is to come here for support. There are others here that totally relate and understand. That, and God, whom is always there for us.
I know I have to actually diet daily in order for the weight to come off now.. but the surgery makes it so much easier than before. Before, I would not have been successful because I would give up after two weeks or stalls....today, I keep going, knowing that another day, another possible pound gone. That's exciting.
We'll get there Angel...it might take us longer, but we will get down to the cute body stage too! Hang in there and know that we are here for you and each other.
big HUGS sent to you!!!

EXACTLY...we gotta be in it for the long haul, but you're right. As long as we see each new day as another opportunity, we will get there. It will take us longer, but that just means we have to fight harder. The good thing is that we have more time to overcome the addiction and abuse of food and build some really stable habits. I would have never thought of that if not for you and for being able to talk about it here. We really do need each other .

Keep doing what you're doing because it's working!  As long as you know what has been accomplished, that's all that matters. You are doing great and an inspiration.

I agree W/ you Angel this IS hard work! (if you have 50....or.....350lbs to lose!)  We ALL work at this.....definitely  NOT  the "easy" way out!  This "journey"  is just longer for us bigger..."big" people...ya know?  But we WILL get to our destination.....just takes.....focus......patience.......consistancy.....and mindfulness!  This "tool"  works....if you use it to its full potential!  You CAN do this....good luck...you are doin' great!

JIMBO...  350lbs! lost!.....  TRIPLE CENTURY CLUB!!  HELL ...YEAH!

I had lost well over 100 before people noticed at all. I also feel many of the same things that people are saying here. Now I'm finally starting to get comments! I think it's because you go from being fat to just less fat when you have so much to lose. It's not so noticeable to others, who don't look at our bodies anyway.

Very true. I guess the important thing to focus on is how much we've changed and all the wonder nsv's we experience. my life is so much better. i do want to look different, but feeling different helps me stay motivated to keep going until i see the physical changes i want to see. thanks so much for your input!
