Me:  Hello?

DH:  Its me.  I just want you to know I cleaned out the coffee maker.

Me:  Oh, good.  I'm glad you remembered, since the coffee was starting to taste awful - it was really time.

DH:  I couldn't remember what you told me to use to clean it.

Me:  Vingear, remember?

DH:  Oh...

Me:  (growing sense of dread)  Why, what did you use?

DH:  Soap.

Me:  How MUCH soap?

DH:  Just a capful.  Or two.

Me:  Great.

DH:  Why?

Me:  I hope you enjoy bubbles. 

DH:  You're so picky.

Me:  Yeah, it must be a flaw of mine that I think bubbles should be reserved for champagne.

DH:  I was thinking that we could go to Civile's for your Mother's Day brunch.

Me:  Ooh, yes!  I love that place.

DH:  Good.  You can make the reservation for around 1:00 pm for Sunday.

Me:  Gee, thanks...I guess.

LMAO....so sorry..but this is why I'm single! LOL 

haha...at least he's remembering.. My usual mother's day goes like this:

Mother's Day Morning

DH:  I'll be back.

Me: Where you going?

DH: I have to go to the store.

Me: For what?

DH: Stuff


Then he comes back with a card and usually candy but I dont know what he will do this year..In fact, this is usually EVERY holiday, anniversary, birthday...lol  If I don't remind him, he goes out that day.  If I remind him and give him hints, I get told I never let him surprise me....LMAO

Actually, mine likes to go to garage sales.  One time he brought me home a disgusting statue of bison (??!!!)  that he thought I would proudly display on the living room coffee table.  I said Oh...why did you get me this?  His reply:  because you like animals.

My husband is the same - and you cannot criticize because he actually made an effort to help!!! If you criticize then they just stop trying because 'it's never good enough for you'.  lol :)

Actually... he isn't helping.  Its his house and coffeemaker, too!  Plus, he's retired and I'm still working - the LEAST he could do is clean the coffeemker!
