You aren't whining.  It is hard on the pre-op when people are eating yummy stuff around you.  Getting away from the food was a VERY wise choice.  Believe me, it would have tasted good for a few minutes and the the regret and the guilt starts beating you up.  It just is not worth it.

It was easier for me after surgery.  Much easier.  It was tiresome some times just having liquids after my surgery, but, I knew that it was for the sake of my healing stomach and it helped to know that it was preparing me for my neww way of eating.  (Also, I was losing weight pretty well, too.)

I will be praying for you that your surgery goes well and you heal quickly!

Hugs,
Sharon

Ohhh, It's really too bad you had to deal with pizza in your home right now!  You did great walking away.  I'm in the same boat as you- liquids in prep for my surgery Thurs.  I just need these next days to go FAST!

I almost had  my surgery last summer and was on liquids when I came home from work to find pizza had been delivered.  Like you I walked away- I went up to my bedroom and cried...

Keeping our eyes on the prize, so to speak- good luck this week!!
