NO exercise= more weight loss

For me, when I do not exercise, I lose faster.  Is that weird or what? I can go to the gym and sweat my butt off- jogging, eliptical, weights and I may lose a pound over 3-4 days.  But when I don't exercise for 3-4 days, I lose 3-5 lbs.  Has anyone else noticed that?  It may be because after exercising I need to consume more calories but I tried that too and I still come out better if I don't exercise?  IS this true for anyone else?

Yup same for me.  I think its because I am consumig the same calories but my body actually needs more to do the workout.  Or maybe its that I am building muscles.  I just know that I am not giving up the gym to lose pounds because I am toning my body by doing this and have gone from a 6 x to a size 14-16 jean and the toneing has done that for me.

You may not be eating enough to exercise. If your calories are too low, you body may be holding on to the weight. That's an alternative explanation to eating too much. I've seen it on the Biggest Loser and with someone I know. The dietition told her to increase her calories. So talk to your NUT.

Not sure why my post didn't show but I'll try again!

Don't forget to take your measurements monthly. Just because he scales isn't moving doesnt mean you're not losing inches instead.

I've been between 166-168 for a few weeks now. I began exercising more often and the scale didn't budge. But my clothes sure did get looser!

It's all how you want to see it... size vs. lbs

its the same for me as well.. my doctor recommended waiting until I was either at 90% or at goal before doing major exercising.. but kept telling me to make sure to do cardio so i walk 2-3 times a day..
