Dr. Garth Jacobsen @ UC San Diego - more info please

Hello everyone, I just signed up to OH today. I've been consulting with the Bariatric group at UCSD about WLS, as they were referred by my GP. So far, I'm satisfied with the information they have given me. Dr. Garth Jacobsen, who will be my surgeon, has been informative but I was disappointed not to find any information on him on this website. He has recommended VSG for prolonged weight loss success. Initially, I was considering the band but of course was skeptical because I know many people who have had it removed due to complications.

Are there any patients of Dr. Jacobsen here? Has anyone seen any of the WLS doctors at UCSD? Any new info is appreciated.

Paperwork for insurance approval is being processed and I am keeping my fingers crossed that it gets approved.
