Incision pain... feels like I'm back at day one, advice?

Hi Gang,

I don't know what I did, but something ain't right. Depending on how I move,  I'm getting sharp pains in my incision sites that didn't happen 2 days ago.  It started yesterday and seems to be worse today... I feel like I'm back at day one.

Has anyone had this happen... do you know what's going on?  Any help or advice much appreciated!

I had a little of that - Just take it easy and keep up with your pain meds. It should subside in a day or so. If it's a pain that can't be controlled by pain meds and resting - then call the doctor.

I had that! I'm 1 month out and I still get sharp pains under the larger incisions. Advil and a heating pad worked for me.

Good luck!

About a week out I was having sharp stabby pulling pains on my right side, in front of one of the incisions.. a few days later it switched to my left- where it stayed for almost a week.

Kinda felt sharp and hot like a torn muscle.. but it was several inches from my incisions. It's from them cutting your muscles and nerves. Things get a little weird when they heal.. it passed for me. I also managed to aggravate it by doing too much too soon. If it gets bad or you get worried, call the doc- but as long as your incisions look good- aren't red or hot- it's prob just normal healing pains!

FYI, by biggest incision (1" long) above my belly button is numb! Like one side and below it for an inch around it totally numb. Nerves are weird like that!

Thanks for the advice!  The sites themselves look fine, no redness and they're not hot at all... it does feel similar to a torn muscle; if the pains weren't in the incisions, that's what I'd think was going on.

Hopefully it'll clear up soon, thanks for the responses!
