January 2011 sleevers -- how are things going?!?!? rockin' those sleeves???
hi all!!!
looking for january sleevers! it's 5 mos for me at the end of the week and i can't believe it! i've lost "only" 54 lbs and seem to be on a plateau right now, which sucks. on the other hand, this is the lightest i've been in years and years, so i should quit *****ing!
i'm finding that i can eat almost anything (which makes it harder to stay on plan) and actually have been resisting food tracking b/c i'm so worried that i'm eating too much. so, okay, i'm not the shining star rightnow!!!!
how is everyone doing??? calling all sleeve sisters out there!! "weigh" in!

Hey Surgiversary Sister!!
Tomorrow is 5 months...what a journey...eh??
I find it extremely ironic that I'm stalling/plateauing also! We have too many things we experience at exact the same moment to make it coincidental. I have been in a stall for almost 6 weeks now. No weight loss till this last Sunday...but definitely more inches gone. I've added more cardio and protein and I'm hoping thats the key!
I'm in a size 12 capri's and a medium shirt today, and I just replaced my bra's for the 2nd time...dammit...LOL!
I'm going to post a before and after tomorrow or later tonight...if I can ever )*&^*%^$*^
get the pictures to post right!! Yes I'm technoligically challenged! Post a new pic there woman, you had to have changed drastically too!
Big hugs,
Heidi

Hello January Sleevers!
It will be 5 months for me on the 18th and so far I have lost 70lbs. I have experienced 2 stalls along the way but worked through them. Unfortunately I have been stuck at 70lbs for the past few weeks due to a foot injury. I have not weighed myself because I have a cast on my leg which means I am not able to work out either.
I track all of my food on myfitnesspal.com which has been wonderful. I find that it hold me accountable and keeps me on track with my protein and calories (500-600 per day). I even went on a week long cruise and did not gain any weight
I have gone from a size 22 pant to a size 14 and from a 2X shirt to a xlarge/large. I no longer take medication for high blood pressure or acid reflux and I feel so much better. I am so glad that I made the decision to have the sleeve and have no regrets so far.

I'm so afraid I haven't been doing well. I lost 28 lbs pre-op, and a grand total of 78 lbs. I've went from a size 28 to a loose 18. I bought my first outfits from the "normal" section of the store just recently. I even bought 3 sundresses which I'm enjoying! Down from 286 lbs to 208. I thought I would have lost more by now, my surgeon thinks so, too. The last couple weeks I haven't been making great choices and I need to get back on track. I think I need to start with visiting this forum more often! I no longer need high blood pressure or cholesterol meds. I haven't used a cpap since surgery. My hair is falling out a bit, hopefully it'll stop soon! I'm gaining a lot more confidence, too. I'm trying to get 10k steps a day on my Fitbit. Sometimes it's no problem and sometimes I fail miserably even though I may not notice a huge difference in my day. The heat is keeping me from doing too much, though.

Hey, January sisters!
I'm not QUITE in a stall, but have only lost 2 lbs in the last 3 weeks, so that sucks the big one. But I'm not worried.
I think we're teetering between not being newbies anymore but not old-timers, either. And I think we're doing great, and those pics are awesome!
I do track my food daily. I think I'm making good choices, but I'm eating protein a little too high in fat, so I'm tweaking again.
Hey - its a process. And where would we be if we hadn't sleeved? For me, definitely heavier, since I had been gaining a lot the year before being sleeved due to stress and going through menopause.
I find myself really happy some days now, for no reason sometimes, and I'm loving it!
We're going to get there. Make good choices, remember why you did this. Those old habits are the devil and our sleeves won't save us if we fall into them again.
Let's see what the next 3 months brings!

My weekly weigh-in is tomorrow, but I don't think I have lost any this week. It has been a very stressful / trying week for me and it's been reflected in my food choices. I'm in a wedding this Saturday - size 18 dress woot! woot! - so I'll probably do a 5 month post next week.
My biggest problem right now is making good choices. I've got the protein / water part down, and usually the exercise is fine...it's the little bites / things here and there that are getting me.
It's been a great journey so far!

Checking in! I'll be five months post-op on Saturday, and everything is going great! I'm down 70 pounds and when the weight loss slows down, I've pretty much been able to tie it to my eating. Lately I have been HUNGRY! Last week I wasn't hungry at all - it's a little strange. Think it's tied to my cycles. I'm exercising a lot, and it is funny how much my eating habits have changed over the last months. I'm all about quality of food now. :)
Anyway, all is well. Glad to see everyone is doing great, too!

Hello!! I'm going to be 5 months in a week or two. I'm down about 63 now? I forgot..and I have a tendency to fluctuate a little bit..up a pound..down a pound..
but i'm doing great..i haven't met a food that i haven't been able to tolerate..which is definitely making my food choices a challenge...i'm finding that i'm not eating as much protein..and can get sucked in by the carb monster..and am definitely not getting in as much water as i should..but i'm working on it!
i was at 186 at my 3 month post op...and am now at 178..so the last two months have been pretty slow...i'm really trying to motivate myself to get to the gym more often. i did a piyo (mix between pilates and yoga) class today and am pretty sure i won't be able to move much tomorrow!
i'm down from a 20 to a 12..and..i was able to buy my first pair of boots! yay! and..i was able to buy a 7.5..which actually fit my foot..rather than a 9 to accommodate for my wide feet and calves.
glad to hear we are all doing well! and congrats to everyone...can't wait for our next check ins!

Okay, hearing how everyone else is doing is making me feel a lot better! I guess I'm not as off track as I thought I was. I know I need to step it up, though.
