Officially submitted to insurance (BCBStx) now anxious and waiting!

Hi all, the day finally came! After doing a 3 month program, then getting news that they changed it to a 6 month program..(urghhh!) ....I am finally done with the testing, weighing, psych eval, and 6 months of diet/nutrition. My Dr. Office submitted on Tuesday! They said they felt good about it, except that I had no major health problems (no diabetes... YET!) All I could do was shake my head that I could be penalized for NOT having major health problems. I have a BMI over 40 and a few minor factors (high cholesterol) anyway...I am trying not to think about it, yet thinking about it all the time. Doctors office said it takes 2-3 weeks to hear back from them. I sure hope I can chill out and stop worrying!

If you pray, please say a little prayer for me that they will approve this surgery for me. I am SO ready, and watching you all....I can tell it will be SO worth it!

We use the same practice....my doctor is Dr. Warden at Surgical Specialist.  Don't you just love the office staff and nurses.  I think they are great!!

Yes! I love love love them! Couldn't be happier with their support, encouragement, professionalism and knowledge. Did you go thru insurance or self pay? How long have you had your date?

I was self-pay for the band and on insurance for the revision.  I went in for consent signing on July 6 and they called on July 8th to set the date for August 2nd.

My doctor is going to be on vacation for two weeks starting today.  I am his first surgery on that Tuesday in Slidell.
