1 month post op
Hello people,
This is my first post on the website, i had my sleeve on the 23/7 and i had my weigh in last monday. So far i have lost 31.5 pounds which was amasing. From the first meeting with the surgeon back in september i have lost 83 pounds which is a good start :)
Im from the UK and the operation is not as widely carried out here as it is in the USA, reading through all these forums the past couple of weeks has helped me with the mental journey i have had to go through.
Hopefully in a couple of months ill be able to post some pics to inspire people starting on the journey :)

Hi thanks for your support
WLS is on the rise in the UK but most people don't have insurance we have have a free National Health Service (NHS). In order to get surgery free on the NHS you have to furfill certain criteria. You can pay private but because there are not that many private hospitals which do it so it is quite expensive. The sleeve is quite a new surgery which is being done at the moment the most common is the lapband and the bypass.
