What to write on my OUT OF OFFICE for email?
I cannot think of a good out of office message for outlook email while I am out in recovery. Totally spacing out here.
Ideas anyone?
I am out starting next week, and up to 6 weeks, but may be back sooner. Do I just say I will be back on October 26th as a "worst case scenerio" or should I leave the dates off entirely and just say I am out of the office? I'm a manager at a bank and need it to be professional but to the point and I think I am just overthinking it.
This is what it normally says:
Thank you for your email. I am currently out of the office returning on 5/5/15 (I wish). In my absence please contact xyz. Have a great day!

Put the dates that you WILL Be out of the office as an OUT OF THE OFFICE only appears one time to whoever emails you and they will not get it again. Also include a contact person if any assistance is needed while you are away. And note that your email will not be forwarded during this time or monitored. It is up to them to track when you will be back because I learned the hard way and didn't know I would only get that message one time.
