Left shoulder pain traveling down my side

I had surgery on 8/29/11. I am doing well. My surgery site has been healing well and I really don't have anymore surgery pain. Yesterday afternoon, I began having this sharp pain from left shoulder down my side. It even hurts when I take a big deep breath in my lungs/rib area. I have been tolerating my water/protein with no nausea or vomiting. I took Gas x chewables last night with little relief. Does anyone think that this is more than gas?

If it was residual gas from your surgery it should have absorbed fully by now. I would call your surgeon! If you feel like your pulse is racing and your can't catch your breath call 911!
