Fiber?

What are the guidelines for fiber in the diet.

Right now I shoot for:
60 - 100 gms protein
64 oz or more water
500 - 800 cals

Just wondering if I should try getting some fiber in like flax, etc.

I didn't have guidelines for fiber, but I do/did add ground flax seed into my foods. I figured it couldn't hurt. And, the benefits of flax seed are numerous. I've been sneaking flax seed into my husband's baked snacks since finding that it didn't change the flavor/texture of his banana nut muffins. He's not the "vitamin/supplement" taking type so I had to get some in where I could.

Mixing the flax seed with salad dressings, or creamy soups/chili was also a great way to get it into our daily meals without anyone knowing.

I add Benefiber http://www.benefiber.com/ to all of my water and sometimes my protein, too.
