I also took a spray mouthwash and some face wipes (no water needed - Kirkland brand I think), and regular wipes. Even before I could get out of bed I felt clean.
I had downloaded a couple of e-books and audio books. I couldn't concentrate on the e-books well, but listened to the audio books and some music.

I took listerine pocket packs with me and I had a bad taste in my mouth the first day so they were a life saver, and I recommend GAS-X... It really helped relieve the gas pressure in my chest and belly from the lap procedure. I was also pretty sick(dry heaving, droolish) the first 2 days post op and the hospital ended up giving me malox type stuff which helped immensly!! Ill second the lip chap, fuzzy warm socks, and slip on shoes too
