As promised, here is what happened when I took medicine for my recent cold (Sore throat 1.5 weeks ago, turned into congestion, turned into nighttime cough which I still have).

- Mucinex anti cough: works the same as before, but hard to swallow.  Feels like it gets "stuck" going down.  Takes approx 8 oz of water to make it feel like it's going down.
- Nyquil:  Knocks me out much faster than before!  Completely stops my nighttime cough.
- Tylenol: Seems to fix my sore throat even faster.

this is good to know cause ive been battling a cold for about 2 weeks ago and i wasnt sure what we could take and the two pharmacists i talked to looked scared when i mentioned the vsg and cold meds, both were like "uh... you should call your dr, im not sure if there are things you cant take" so im gonna get some tylenol sinus stuff, the post nasal drip is kicking my butt at night (leading to a.m nausea that sucks AZZ) anywho thanks for the advice
