How bad is it that what goes down best is SF popcicles and watered down snapple tea

Not so bad. SF popsicles can be counted as liquid. Have you tried crystal light or over SF flavoring for your water? I'm not sure what diet stage you are in but how about the protein shakes? Can you handle those yet? Try liquids at different temps, that might help.
