Thank you, I was getting pissed off reading that!  Very well said USAF Wife!!!  It's very easy to get pregnant during the losing stage, I have a daughter to prove it from 4yrs ago. I lost 30lbs and here she is. Birth control does not have 100% coverage on obese / overweight ppl either. So it simply could be an accident. Damn, why don't ppl just bite their tounge.

Why I  you!  Life is so hard, we never know where we will be, what situation we will be in or what decisions we will have to make.  You've held my hand and I will never forget it and this poster won't neither!

Leila

Women, have some compassion.  Someone is reaching out, they probably feel like they are on the ledge . . . . let's not push them!  Let's hold them and let them know that no matter what, they will be okay.

Blessings to all

WOW--this must be the most judgmental and condescending post I have ever seen on this forum.  Telling someone to get an abortion? Are you serious?  Questioning her ability to parent?  I am shaking my head in complete and utter disgust.

Seriously, Stella?  Are you always so cruel to people?  Did you see ANYWHERE in her post that said "I ran out and go pregnant on purpose?"  Who the hell are you to judge this woman.  She's scared and needed advice, not some nasty ***** telling her to get an abortion!!  That's horrendous and you ought to be ashamed of yourself.  So should anyone who agrees with you.

To the original poster, like everyone else who is kind has said, contact your doctor and let him know your situation and go from there.  From what I understand, while it's not a good idea to get pregnant so soon after weight loss surgery, it's certainly not the end of the world.  Lots of women have had successful pregnancies after WLS.

A new baby is something to celebrate!  Relax and enjoy and you'll both be just fine.

OMG!  Can't believe you made that ignorant comment!  You're so uncouth!! Hope you don't have children.  I'd hate for their upbringing to be influenced by someone as ill-mannered as you.  Praying that God gives you the common sense to know what is appropriate and inappropriate to say to people.  Then again.....common sense isn't so common to some folk. #justplainstupid

First of all you need to contact your doctor ASAP! I don't think it is really safe for you to be pregnant right now in the stage you are at and it could totally harm you or the baby. This is why before you have the surgery they tell you to get on birth control and take every precaution necessary because you are suppose to wait at least 18-24 months out after having this surgery. I know this was most likely an accident, but you should of been taking better precautionaries!! Good luck to you and hope all works out ok!
