3 Weeks Post Op - Calorie Intake?

I am 3 weeks post op and was curious what your daily calorie intake is. I am getting between 400-600 calories daily but think it should be higher. I would love to hear feedback from others.

I did call my surgeons office and am awaiting a call back.

I am just over 2 weeks and calories are also between 400-600. I think this is good for this stage of the game as long as you are getting in your fluids and protein.

I was still on liquids, but those liquids included shakes and that sounds about right. I didn't get up to my current 600-800 calories until about month 3 and have held there for the last 4 months.

week 1 & 2 I was about 300 calories, rarely reached 400.

week 3 Im about 400-500 calories- depends on how much I try to push.

This is what I had today

B: 30g protein shake w 4 oz of almond milk and 1/2 cup of frozen strawberries + water.

S: Light string cheese

L: 2 oz of pork shoulder pulled pork and 2 oz of refried beans (im still working on this, haven't finished half of either LOL)

Im at 388 cals so far. Ill probably have another shake for dinner or some soup.

I range anywhere from 400- 500 cals a day- i've only reached 600 cals once :(

I just heard back from the surgeons office and they said that I should be at 800-1000 cals per day. That seems so very high to me. I would have to eat constantly all day to get that many cals.

I'm 7 weeks out and I haven't even been able to eat 600 yet. I know I atleast need 600 but I am eating and getting my protein in but just can't get the calories without eating junk.
