Not drinking and eating and nausea

I have been trying to practice not drinking while I am eating (only 16 days until surgery!) but I tend to feel sick to my stomach - any one else had this happen to them?

TIA - I am alternately totally at peace with my decision and really freaked out about it so this is bothering me

What kinds of foods are eating? I have never had this happen while practicing

Well tonight I had a half a piece of steak and the inside of a baked potato but it has happened with other foods as well - it feels like there is s something a little bad about the food.

Keep in mind it will be totally different after surgery....I am 2 weeks out and still on liquids since the 21st of October....I am not even hungry.  Your eating habits will totally change after the surgery.

I know (or I should). I have a little bit or a worrier lately!

Why havent you started food (mushies)?

  sounds like your nausea and food issues may be pschyological and anxiety issues...if it keeps up call doc...in the meantime chill out you will be fine!

I have not had WLS yet but I know that I often feel nausea when food is hot and I don't have a cold drink to wa**** down with. I would get it a lot when I would eat breakfast and while drinking coffee with nothing cold to drink. Try letting your food cool off a little more.
