So what it's been answered five million times, the search feature sucks sometimes can't find crap you are looking for have to reword everything twenty million times. With all the crap I've seen recently I would be afraid to ask questions to this board if I was new. I understand vets get frustrated people aren't using logic... They don't in your everyday life either do they?. Some people need reassuring that they aren't going to die because they had a bean! Thats how life is we all come here for help and support I hope it can make it's way back .

I'm new and scared to ask questions - for the simple fact that I can't even find the search button to even use it!

Can you tell me where it is? I would feel better knowing I searched myself before asking :)

I agree with you Veronica the search button does not work that well and sometimes even gives you topics that has nothing to do with what youa asked, thanks for making this post

As a vet, I just want to throw out there, that the idea that we are tired of the questions and how any comments that were made even remotely implied such is beyond me.

I'm always open to ANYONE asking questions regardless of which stage they are in, or where they are at. I'm way further out, never experienced a true stall so it's hard for me to relate to the newbies that are dealing with that issue, BUT I am always open to questions as I think all the vets are open to answering.

The issue is the questions that lack common sense and logic that absolutely irk me. I won't deny it. When I see someone whining about stalls, but are overeating, grazing, and then saying things along the lines "I don't want to diet, I don't want to give up XX foods, I want to do it my way"; it is very hard to be empathetic. I want to refer to Dr. Phil's famous statement and say "So how's that working for ya?" BUT, that's not supportive, but what else do you say to someone who doesn't want to make the necessary changes? I can't commisserate, or wallow in the pity pit with them because I worked my ass off to lose my weight, fought to get into maintenance, and am fighting again to deal with post-partum weight loss. The frustrated with the new stomach issues like not being able to get protein in, or drinking difficulties, this is NOT the kind of posts that most of us vets are avoiding. We have all been there, and struggled. So, we do understand that problem and issues related to your typical post-op issues. People eating ice cream and jellybeans at 3 days post-op, NOT so much.

Support comes in different forms, and to go back to Don's post, and my reply in Frisco's thread, Perception is 9/10ths of the law especially on an internet forum. Written word can not translate voice inflection, tone, and body language is all missing. I think that is vital in reading way too much into some posts around here. Maybe I have way too thick of skin, I've never understand the "get my feelings hurt" from a perfect stranger on an internet forum, even in my fattest days, but alas it does happen so I do avoid the topics that make me want to lose my mind.

I definitely recommend checking out this link for all newbies:
