I had my 1st appointment with the surgeon today and he said that I could have my surgery as early as 3-4 weeks.  I just pray that my endoscopy goes well and that I can survive this 2 week liquid diet.  Hooray for me, I feel like a kid again being so excited.

Congrats! You will survive the 2 weeks and surgery time will be here before you know it. Good Luck!

I have not had surgery yet, I am not quite done jumping through my hoops, but I am getting close.

I had my initial consultation with my surgeon today too! I'm super excited, but unfortunately I have a bunch of hoops to jump through as well. my insurance requires a 6 month physician monitored weight loss program :(

Did anyone else have to do a six month program with their primary doctor? It's driving me crazy to have to wait so long!!

Well I don't for the simple fact that I'm self pay (my insurance don't cover the insurance).

I was suppose to go through 6 months too, but effective next month, bcbs took away the 6 month requirement. 3 months in and I am done! If you have the same ins, check and see if it applies to you as well. Good luck!
