I keep hearing folks talk about the 3 week stall in my webstiles groups.  Can anyone explain what this is because I believe i'm going thru it right now.  I'm 4 weeks post op and haven't lost anything in over a week and a half.  I'm beginning to worry and freak out.

I'm wondering if the stall lasts 3 weeks or if the stall begins at 3 week post op?

Common post op stalls, three weeks three months six months. They can happen anywhere around them time frames. FAQs can explain this on this site. TOM can cause you to retain water for a week or two as well. Pay attention to inches if the number on the scales bother you.

I'm 3 days into my 3 week stall. It's right on time and not something I am worried about since I kept hearing over and over how it's going to happen. I think the length of time it lasts is pretty individual though with some people coming right out of it at 7 days and some people sooner and others as long as 2 weeks. The biggest thing you will hear from the post-ops is to focus on the inches or the way your clothes fit during the stalls instead of the numbers on the scale. Someone I was talking to (my NUT I think) suggested that instead of weighing daily just weigh a couple times a wee****il I see the scale start moving again. And while I have only been taking my measurements once a month I am thinking that since i am in the 3 weeks stall I will do my measurements again just to see if I can notice a difference. I do notice that clothes I had tried on a week ago are suddenly starting to slide off me so I know my body is in catch up mode

Some stalls can last 3 or more weeks and you are right it is individual so cannot compare yourself to someone else on here. My 3 week post op stall happened to me around 4.5 weeks and lasted for 2.5 weeks. My 3 month post op stall came around my 4 month mark and last 3 weeks.

Stalls are a part of the process. No one likes them, but they happen to most people. It's the body's way of taking time to readjust now and then. Just keep following your plan and the weight will come off. Take your measurements. Most people lose inches when the scale isn't moving.
