...certainly puts things into perspective when thinking about your life and your relationship with food.  As I sit here upset that I can't eat on this pre-op diet I'm grateful that the Lord saw it fit that my max weight was 350lbs and not another # more.  These people struggle with something that we all have -  an eating disorder.  I've looked forward to this journey so that I can be an inspiration to someone else.  I look forward to

Better eating habits
Exercising
Being more social
Not feeling embarrassed

Just my 2cent for now..........Keep being an inspiration to me so that I can be an inspiration to someone else.

That is SUCH AN AMAZING series!  I just finished watching the 4th show on DVR and it really puts all of this into perspective!!  To see their journies over the course of 7 yrs sure drives home the point that this is NOT an easy journey or the easy way out!!  Especially the guy that gained back over 200 lbs after losing over 400...WOW!

Ya gotta work!  Ya gotta MOVE!  And you gotta eat smart!

I watch it too! It makes me cry. One of my teen kids had come in the room and saw one of the skin surgeries and then saw the guys body without a shirt on pre surgery and he was like, "Ohhh that is SO SICK!"

I kindly told him that anyone can get like that if they turn to food for their pleasure and while it might look sort of freakish to someone never having seen that kind of obesity...ANY ONE OF US has the capacity to do that to ourselves.

I thank God I learned about the sleeve and just DID IT, no looking back. My mother is somewhere around 400 lbs...if you can get to 400 you can get to 600. It's in my genes and it's in my upbringing (the habits I learned) so I was bound and determined to make sure I didn't let myself get there.
