Just started Options in Bakersfield
Hi there,
Yes, I did the Kaiser "Options" classes last year. I had 12 sessions & was told I had to lose 10% of my body weight. I lost 19 pounds so I was short by 8 pounds. I was afraid my surgeon wouldn't be happy but he told me I did better than most of his patients who do the 12 week class. Turns out, I heard months after that several people in my class either didn't lose any weight or they gained. I do encourage you to do the best you can because it will only help you in the long run. Best of luck to you!!

Hi!
I finished options on June 30th. I waited a few weeks before I got the call to meet with a kaiser surgeon. That appt. was a week or 2 later. When I met with the surgeon it was the end of July & he was available as early as a week later but I picked 8/18 since it worked better with my work schedule.
Yes, yes, yes! I am so happy with my sleeve. I lost 19 pounds pre-op & another 90 pounds post-op. The first month is tough, I'm not gonn lie. It's hard to get all your fluids & protein in but if you are consistent with sipping all day long, you should be ok. I would do it all again in a heartbeat!
Let me know if you need anything else!
