Vitamins Post Op

 How soon do I need to start taking vitamins post op?

I started the day I was discharged from the hospital.

 What brand did you take? How did you take them since the first week is liquid dit?

Chewable.  I used Centrum.

I have found Trader Joe's Multi Vitamin with minerals to be gentle on my tummy. It's an adult chewable that you only need to take once a day. $7.99 for a 3 month supply is a steal!

 I'm using Bariatric Fusion vitamins ordered through Bariatric Advantage.

 I use Nutrametrix vitamins the day I got home from the hospital.  It's a liquid form that is rapidly abosorbed since its an isotonic solution.  You can take pills right after surgery, just not huge horse pills.

I started as soon as I got home from the hospital.  My multi is a children's chewable (that way I can get my daughter to take one too) My B12 (sub-lingual) and Calcium Citrate x3 (chewable) are from Bariatric Advantage.  The D3 is a mini pill that looks like it is filled with oil, the MD said I could take petite pills after surgery.  I also have a Nexium that I break open and just swallow the BBs inside, to keep any acid down while healing.
