VSG suggested?

I am patiently  waiting for a surgery date. I have had a long road. (orientation was July 18th 2011) I have been forgotten along the way. I recently had my surgeon appointment and it was suggested a VSG was a safer route for me because of the blood thinners I'm on. I have been doing alot of research on it and believe the surgeon is right. What I would like to have is feed back from people who have had this done at St. Joes in Hamilton.
If you have any words of wisdom I would appreciate the feedback :-)

 Hi, you might take a look at the local forums to see if you can find folks from your hospital or your surgeon. 

I wish you the best of luck with your decision. My mother was asking me today, how I felt about all of this almost a year later, and I have to say I only regret not doing it sooner.
