I HAVE A VSG DATE
I have not been on here in quite some time. While our health care system covers the cost of VSG in Canada - the waits are very long. But yesterday ( after only one year waiting) I have my date. I will go in on Sept 13 - I am so excited and completely terrified at the same time.
I am ready for the changes - the good and the bad. Now it is back to these boards to relearn tips and prepare my mind for what is really going to come.

Good for you! How long after your social worker, etc appointments was it until the surgery date (I'm curious)...and what hospital/surgeon do you have? Was it difficult to get VSG (I already know RNY is what "they" go for first in Ontario)...I'm in Ontario,

January 8th, 2013 - VSG with Dr Paul Sullivan (St Joe's Toronto)
I am in NL - I was lucky -it will be one year from start to surgery. from what I understand the wait time has increased significantly here now. I think new referrals now have a 3 or more year wait.
