Many use premier protein ready to drink (rtd) from sams or costco.  160 cals, 30 grams protein, 2 carbs= one of the best nutrtiion profiles out there.  They have whey isolate as the protein and loaded with vitamins too.  I also used HMR 70 at first- very good, but very pricey.  Also used Isopure Plus a lot at first, pricey but thinner then the shakes and a life saver post op.

At the moment I am using Muscletech from sams- great price, but no vitamins in it so not recommended by my NUTS.  Higher cals then premier too.

I use the Premier Protein as posted above and purchase it at Sam's.  I've found it to be the best bang for my buck on calories/protein/carbs as well as taste.  I like the chocolate and sometimes mix other flavors with it and blend to make a creamy shake.  I also use Muscle Milk powder if I plan on adding a powdered protein to something.  I found Isopure to be really nasty in taste and ended up trashing it, but it may be palatable to you and it does have lots of protein in it.  Lots of VSGers also swear by the Nectar brand.  I've not tried it but I see it at The Vitamin Shoppe and I think GNC carries it as well.  Good luck in your quest for something that's reasonably priced that fits in your plan.  You may have to try a few to find what you like...

I use Unjury unflavored protein powder.  One scoop has 80 calories, 1 carb and 20 gm protein.  I do 2 scoops/day.  I mix it with sweetened iced tea.  Can only be purchased at unjury.com.  I think it's about $21/container (which lasts a week for me) but they have deals if you get on the auto shipping program.

Good luck,

Marie
