What did you eat at 6 weeks post op?
Well, I do know everyone's plan is different, but I'm able to try all new foods at this point. Next week I'll be six weeks out. I've eaten chicken salad with light dressing, red meat is a no-go for me at this point, and my go to meal is a boiled egg. I usually can't eat the whole egg, usally I can eat half. I really like tuna as well, but I hate light mayo, so I'll do regular mayo, just put a fourth of what I would with light mayo. Deviled eggs are awesome. Scrambled eggs are good too. I'm glad I can eat more dense foods. I can stay full off half a boiled egg for hourssss, lol.
I was eating pretty much the same then as I was thru most of my loss phase - beef, chicken and occasional pork or tuna along with small amounts of veg and potato (very efficient potassium source), fruits (primarily mixed into greek yogurt) small salads with leftover meats frequently for lunch, turkey bacon or sausage for breakfast. Note, however, that my doc's plan starts us with purees and soft proteins from the outset, so we have a bit of a headstart on progress over those whose docs keep them on liquids for an extended time.
