VSG and Hernia repair

I had my HH repaired while having the VSG surgery. I was not aware that I had a HH, but the doctor showed me pictures of it after surgery and said while I was out, he figured he would fix that issue as well. My recovery was fast and easy. Now I know everyone is different, but if you can get the HH fixed at the same time as your VSG, I would recommend it. Why go through two separate surgeries?
