2 days post-op

Ok, I'm 2 days post and to be discharged today. I am having a hard time drinking. My stomach hurts every time I drink. It's not my incisions or gas, it's my inside stomach. Has anyone had this? When will. It go away? It takes me forever to drink and I'm afraid after I go home off my IV, I will get dehydrated.

Thanks

Try different temperatures. Im nearly 3 months out and still prefer to drink warm water.

As suzy said - try diff temp of fluid.....it will vary throughout the day

also, make sure you're not drinking too much!

Here's a great way to look at it:

One ounce every 5 minutes - gives you 12oz/hour.....

5.5 (approx) hours will get you 64 oz in......

You lose 4.5 in not drinking (1/2 hour before, during after eating)....so - 10 hours, everything is in!
