Something I've Noticed

No, I think the days of being really satisfied from eating a big meal and having a full, stretchy stomach are behind you now.  That's why I would coach someone to make sure they have different ways to reward themselves or attain pleasure, since it's difficult to do so now with food (and hit your goals).  You'll be comfortable, maybe sated even, but that feeling of "ahhh, what a nice big meal that's in my belly" has been gone for me since surgery.  I really don't think this is about nerves healing.  A lot of it is from the hormonal change.

I'd also follow Frisco's advice to undereat your sleeve, and not rely upon restriction, especially since your sleeve will slowly expand in the next year and a half.

Good luck!
