A Different way to celebrate New Years Eve
My husband and I decided that tonight we would celebrate ringing in the New Year on our cross country skis on the beautiful moonlit trails in our city.
Our original plan was to go out for a nice meal but so many of the restaurants are serving special 3 and 4 course meals and that would be a huge waste. I'm excited, it seems symbolic and meaningful to do something new and different for tonight, something we can carry through in our new life we are making for ourselves. We've been married for 28 years, the kids are 16 and 18 and spreading their wings and we are entering such an exciting phase of our lives! Dare I say I see a Harley in our future
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!
Very cool idea! We had planned to go skiing, but can't now... So glad to read about a cool outdoor activity!

What a wonderful idea, perhaps a new tradition! I'm on Opti right now, so I'm home enjoying the stand-up marathon on Comedy Channel. Are you in Toronto as well? If so, I wasn't aware there are cross country trails here in the city.
