Thanks. I'm going to take the " don't ru**** " advise seriously. For some reason, I've been thinking these eating stages were challenges to get through, instead of places to let my tummy settle into and rest in. Thanks again for the thought.

ok so me being a newbie.. I am now totally freaked out. How do I know if I've injured my sleeve? Is there a tell tell sign. OMG. Totally freaked out now!!!  I have been following the direction of my NUT and doctor and I see that there are a lot of difference in what I'm reading here. I meet with this again this upcoming Tuesday and I have a laundry list of questions now.

Everyone thanks for the information and advice.

OK...so as far as soup goes...I make an incredible chicken soup ...and I was bummed when I asked my NUT abt it before my WLS because her answer was NO. You CAN NOT eat liquid WITH solid. Yep..that stinks. Sooooo what I do is for the meal...I strain out 2.5 oz of chicken and the cooked veggies...eat the chick 1st then the veggies. then 30-45 min later...heat up a cup of the broth. I actually like it because it makes me feel like I'm enjoying my soup for a longer time...without "grazing" on it. This is a life style change full of adjustments...you want it bad enough...you adjust.

As far as quickly progressing thru the stages...I keep my mouth shut because I find a lot of folks on the board have Docs that progress them quicker than mine. I was on clear and then full liquids for 3 weeks, then puree for 4 weeks. I was not solid food until 8 weeks out...and that was  limited. I had not nuts or skins until 10-12 weeks out. Every plan is different ...but calling your Doc and/or Nut often with all questions is important.

Peace

Good plan-veggies or broth, but not both at the same time.  I know what you mean about the plans being so very different.  Mine was liquids for a week, then to soft foods-well chewed.  The amounts have remained the same- about 3 oz total for a meal.  Thanks for the input.  All "food for thought" (pun intended).

I'm thinking you could also puree it all together and enjoy it with the added protein that the chicken gives.
