Just got my surgery date...

2/12 ...now for a couple hours of mild panic attack while it sinks in that this is really happening...

No need for panic attacks, especially when you still have a few weeks to go ;) wait until the week of, and then have a panic attack... just kidding lol. 

We all get a bit nervous as we get closer to the surgery date, but if you've done your homework... researched your doctor, your hospital, the pros and cons and risks of the surgery and have still decided to move forward, then you should be as ready as you can be.

congrats! That's great news. It is normal to have second thoughts and be a bit panicky! If you didn't have those thoughts, then I'd worry about you!

On a different note, I noticed in your avatar how young you are. I think it is admirable that you are taking this step to improve your health this early in life. I know, too, it's about being normal and looking good, too, but if you do this right, you are really going to fix your life in so many positive ways. I honestly wish I had done this 10 to 13 years ago!

I hope you have a great support system in place and your family is on board with your decision. OH is a great place to get advice and be with like minded folks, but nothing beats having great support in real life!

Congrats!!! Like the others said there will be more panic attacks but you and everyone else here on OH has gone through them to get to the fun life!!!
