highmark bcbs question

hey everyone. im here with a question. so im month 3 of my 6month diet and dr has informed me that instead of the rny, he wants to do the sleeve on me. better for my health and safer surgery for me in his opinion. which is great cause thats what i wanted in the first place. but now im getting scared because i dont think highmark bcbs cover gastric sleeve. from the info i read online its still investigational to them. and i dont have my benefits booklet. can anyone help me out. does anyone have highmark and was approved for sleeve with bmi under 50. mine is 48 with co-morbidities

High mark now covers vsg with bmi 40. It changed late last year. You can read the policy online.
