Lent
What did you give up for Lent? Although, I know we are supposed to limit our carb intake I have been indulging in the frequent mini cupcake every now and them - heck it is a mini. So for Lent I gave up sweets to not tempt me at all. What did you all give up?

I feel guilty saying this but, I already feel like I have given up so much already with the diet changes and the time away from family for gym time. Not that giving up the bad food and sedentary lifestyle isn't good for me, it is, and I'm much healthier for those changes.
The little bit of indulgence I do partake in once in a while (1/2 a mini candy bar or some other sliver of a sweet) I'm not willing to give up. I already gave up soda prior to surgery, my favorite protein shake is chocolate so not giving that up, I already eat healthier, I'm already exercising, I don't smoke.... those are the common Lenten promises.
So this year for Lent I promise to stay on plan, to stick to all the other changes I have made over the last year, to stay motivated and active and engaged in my health.
I started Lent December 13th when I gave up eating like a pig.

I gave up fizzy drinks of all sorts--soda, sparkling water, etc. Trying to prepare myself for not being able to have them post-surgery.
