Should I be knocking on wood?
So for months I've heard about the dreaded 3 week stall. I haven't hit it yet and I'll be a month out tomorrow. I'm a slow loser so far, but I also haven't really exercised yet which I plan to start this weekend once my brother is out of my workout room (recovering at my house from bypass surgery).
I lost 11.8 pounds on the 2 week skim-milk diet so I got rid of a lot of water weight before the surgery and since I've lost 13.9. I'm okay with losing only 2-3 pounds a week as long as my weight is only going in one direction! I'm wondering how many people don't hit a stall and if it's more common to not hit a stall in lightweights that are slow losers.
Thanks!
I've had some low losses (1/2 pound) some weeks, but I have had slow, consistent losses. So 2-3 weeks every week is not completely realistic, nor is that a slow loss -- that is in fact a rapid loss, after the first few weeks.. Many people find that they are stairstep losers. A big loss, followed by no loss or small losses, then another larger loss.
I think we'd all be OK losing "only" 2-3 pounds a week -- but that is not necessarily how our losses will look. Some people also take weekly measurements, so they can see the evidence of loss, even if the scale isn't cooperating!
I'm same date as you....I have not stalled yet. I exercise, eh, 3 days a week...sometimes very intensely...am trying to get into a routine. If and when the stall hits, everyone says it's normal, so I will not panic or fret about it...it will all work out.
good luck!
